Summary

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Delivery Driver / Laborer to join our structural steel fabrication team. This dual-role position involves the safe and timely delivery of materials across Ontario, as well as general shop labor duties including material handling, cleaning, and light fabrication tasks. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, has experience operating forklifts, and is comfortable working in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery Duties:

  • Safely operate company delivery trucks to transport structural steel and related materials throughout Ontario.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Secure loads properly in accordance with safety standards and transportation regulations.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and site personnel upon delivery.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.

Shop & Labor Duties:

  • Load and unload steel materials and equipment using forklifts and other tools.
  • Assist with the fabrication of anchor bolts and basic steel preparation tasks.
  • Clean and organize the shop floor, workstations, and storage areas.
  • Paint and touch up steel components using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment as needed.
  • Assist with general maintenance and upkeep of tools, machinery, and vehicles.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, wearing proper PPE at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Ontario Class G driver's license (DZ license an asset).
  • Clean driving record with proven driving experience.
  • Forklift license or willingness to obtain (training can be provided).
  • Previous experience in a fabrication shop, construction, or similar industrial setting is preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
