Job Description
The Fire Alarm Technician is a motivated, organized, and personable individual providing quality service to customers. This role involves leadership responsibilities, including mentoring trainees and assistants. The Fire Alarm Technician is a key contributor to Classic Fire + Life Safety's operations and growth.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Perform weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual inspections as required.
- Conduct service work and repairs on fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and other equipment.
- Install and verify fire alarm system components.
- Mentor and oversee assistants and trainees, facilitating knowledge transfer.
- Participate in on-call rotations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- CFAA Registered Technician status.
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the fire alarm industry as a fully licensed technician
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a high level of electronic aptitude.
- Ability to diagnose and repair fire alarm systems.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Customer-focused with the ability to empathize and provide exceptional service.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Clean driver's abstract and valid G driver's license.
