Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our care.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and exploration.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships.
  • Assess children's developmental progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed.
  • Provide support for children with special needs or disabilities, ensuring inclusivity in the classroom.
  • Maintain organized classroom materials and resources to facilitate effective learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive educational approach.
  • Utilize computer skills for lesson planning, record keeping, and communication purposes.

Experience

Certification in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.

  • Experience working with children in a childcare setting or classroom environment is essential.
  • Bilingual skills in English and French are highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, time management, leadership, and writing skills are required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week
