Brigil is currently looking for a Community Manager for its Apogée communities in Ottawa.
Reporting to the Regional Director, the Community Manager is responsible for the full management of a residential building, ensuring an exceptional resident experience and fostering a pleasant living environment. As the face of Brigil for residents, the Community Manager plays a key role in strengthening the residential community, promoting well-being, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Provide exceptional daily customer service to respond quickly and effectively to residents' needs, promoting their well-being and overall satisfaction.
- Create, maintain, and promote a pleasant, harmonious living environment that meets Apogée standards, ensuring a high-end and consistent residential experience.
- Maintain an active presence on-site by conducting regular and preventive inspections to keep buildings in good condition, uphold high standards, and demonstrate a strong sense of ownership of the property.
- Supervise and coordinate the on-site maintenance team to ensure operational performance, proper building functioning, and compliance with Brigil standards.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations and apply management policies to maintain an orderly, safe, and compliant environment.
- Monitor the quality of services provided by vendors and subcontractors to ensure all work meets Apogée standards and resident expectations.
- Identify and recommend operational improvements to optimize process efficiency, resident satisfaction, and overall quality of the living environment.
- Contribute to unit leasing and lease renewals, and manage move-ins, move-outs, and suite preparations to ensure optimal occupancy rates and a smooth, professional experience for new residents.
- Organize events to encourage engagement and strengthen residents' sense of belonging.
- Participate in accounts receivable follow-up and communicate proactively with affected residents to maintain sound financial management and prevent payment delays.
- Manage the bidding process, analyze costs, and oversee the building's financial tracking, producing necessary reports to ensure strict expense control, adherence to the budget, and informed decision-making toward financial objectives.
- Receive and respond to emergency calls, including evenings and weekends, to ensure resident safety and the rapid resolution of critical situations.
- Relevant experience in property management, residential management, or hospitality
- Comfortable using basic computer tools, including Outlook, Microsoft Office, and a customer management system (CRM)
- Good understanding of leasing processes and basic financial management concepts (an asset)
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Flexible availability for variable schedule, including weekends and handling emergency calls in the evening
- Bilingual an asset
- Ability to provide a high-end customer experience
- Aptitude for quickly resolving problems
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities
- Autonomy, initiative, and sound professional judgment
