The Intermediate Digital Product Optimization Analyst will be responsible for planning and delivering A|B Testing and Personalization initiatives across WestJet's broad array of digital products, cross-journey experiences. This role will use the power of testing, data, and actionable insights, to optimize products, campaigns, and enhance our guest experience.

Embracing principles such as always be testing, fail fast learn fast, and focusing on what matters, you will collaborate closely with peers on our Optimization team and an assortment of stakeholders to test, analyze and communicate the effectiveness of digital enhancements and launches; continually working cross-functionally with product owners and managers,marketers, commercial team stakeholders, and other insights teams to ultimately provide recommendations from holistic data-driven insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert for A/B testing, MVT and personalization activities across multiple digital product and marketing domains, driving growth and adoption of the optimization program.
  • Active participant in the process of collaborating with teams throughout the optimization life cycle, from ideation and prioritization, through to sharing results and recommendations, for A|B testing and personalization initiatives.
  • Complete assigned tasks on a day-to-day basis, to test, analyze and communicate the effectiveness of testing associated to new product launches, site changes and enhancements and marketing initiatives (during and following optimization initiatives).
  • Provide testing and data-driven recommendations from actionable insights and trends to stakeholders.
  • Support and/or facilitate the organization and maintenance of published content within team SharePoint site (including the publishing of testing learnings, results and reports).
  • Develop effective presentations that convey findings and results in a clear and concise manner.
  • Familiarity with the Adobe Target sample size calculator and/or other third-party tools used for the purpose of ensuring statistical integrity and validating testing / analysis sample sizes.
  • Highlight tagging and new measurement requirements needed to enable A|B Testing initiatives and use cases that may otherwise not be possible.
  • Partner and collaborate with peers in Digital and IT as necessary to leverage multiple data sources for enhanced audience segmentation purposes, to be applied in testing and personalization use cases.

Qualifications:

  • Degree / diploma in business or mathematics, or other related combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of web optimization concepts, terms and digital metrics.
  • 2+ years' experience with optimization platforms (i.e. Adobe Target / Optimizely) and analytics platforms (i.e. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics). Hands-on experience with Adobe Target and Adobe Analytics is an asset.
  • Experience in Marketing, Customer Behavior, Financial Analysis and Digital Analysis is an added benefit.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership. Identifies what needs to be done and has a bias towards action.
  • Ability to translate, distill and communicate testing results into a digestible, actionable format.
  • Functional understanding of JavaScript, HTML and CSS (i.e. ability to make high level sense of how page content is constructed and familiarity with browser-based debugging tools like Chrome developer tools, VEC helper)
  • Familiarity with Single Page Applications (SPA's)
  • Detail-oriented to ensure diligence and accuracy, while keeping sight of the bigger picture / story.
