Position: IT Asset & Procurement Coordinator
Location: Head Office, Edmonton, AB
Classification: Full-Time, Immediate Hire, Onsite
Salary: $55,000-$65,000 + bonus
Who we are looking for:
We're looking for a highly organized and proactive IT Asset & Procurement Coordinator who thrives at the intersection of technology and operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on IT experience, a strong understanding of procurement and asset management practices, and an eye for process improvement. You're someone who takes ownership of your work, enjoys solving problems efficiently, and takes pride in keeping systems, assets, and records accurate and up to date.
You should feel comfortable working in both a technical and administrative capacity — imaging and deploying devices one moment, and analyzing procurement data or refining workflows the next. If you're detail-driven, adaptable, and eager to make IT operations run smoother, we'd love to hear from you
Your area of focus:
The IT Asset & Procurement Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the lifecycle of AutoCanada's IT
hardware and software — from purchasing and tracking to deployment and retirement. This position bridges hands-on technical work with operational coordination, ensuring that IT assets are efficiently
sourced, accurately tracked, and properly deployed across all AutoCanada locations.
You'll be responsible for fulfilling hardware requests, imaging and preparing devices, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting process improvements that enhance efficiency and accountability. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of technical setup and operational ownership, and who takes initiative to streamline workflows and strengthen the connection between IT, Finance, and dealership teams.
What drives your day to today?
Procurement & Asset Management
- Coordinate IT procurement activities, including sourcing quotes, creating purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and reconciling invoices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date IT asset records across all AutoCanada locations, ensuring complete visibility into hardware assignments and lifecycle stages.
- Manage central IT inventory, including storage organization, incoming and outgoing shipments, and asset documentation.
- Support device redeployment and recycling workflows to maximize hardware utilization and reduce waste.
- Assist in developing and maintaining procedures for IT asset lifecycle management, focusing on consistency, traceability, and efficiency.
Technical Support & Deployment
- Fulfill IT hardware and peripheral requests through the ticketing system in a timely and efficient manner.
- Image, configure, and deploy computers according to corporate standards, including Windows setup, drivers, and application provisioning.
- Create and manage user accounts, email profiles, and access permissions for new hires, transfers, and terminations.
- Collaborate with the Service Desk to troubleshoot and resolve device-related issues.
- Ensure all deployed assets are accurately tracked in the IT asset management system.
Reporting & Operational Efficiency
- Generate reports on asset inventory, utilization, procurement activity, and lifecycle metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in hardware fulfillment, inventory management, and procurement workflows through process automation and standardization.
- Contribute to process documentation, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the IT department aimed at reducing manual effort and improving turnaround times.
What are the must haves?
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support, asset management, or procurement coordination.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, imaging, and configuration processes.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills, with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with IT asset management systems (e.g., ServiceNow) is an asset.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across IT, Finance, and vendor partners.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement small process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
The Perks.
- Competitive Compensation and Benefits Package
- Employee Vehicle Purchase & Service Plans
- Employee and Family Assistance Programs
- Professional development and the opportunity to grow your career
