The Blue Mountains, Ontario, Canada Alpine Ski Club Full time $40,000 - $60,000 per year

Do you love the outdoors and enjoy working in a team environment? As a Snowmaker, you'll play a vital role in creating the winter wonderland that keeps our club running If you're ready for an exciting and hands-on job, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform safety checks, start-up, and shut-down procedures for snowmaking equipment.
  • Monitor equipment performance and ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Set up and move snow guns to optimize snow coverage on the slopes.
  • Operate snowmobiles on uneven and snowy terrain.
  • Check snow quality and adjust water and air hydrants to achieve the best conditions.
  • Work as part of a dynamic team, keeping communication open with coworkers and supervisors.

What You'll Need:

  • Valid Ontario driver's license.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience operating snowmobiles is a plus but not required—we'll train you

Work Conditions:

This is an outdoor position that requires working in winter conditions, including extreme cold. You'll spend prolonged periods standing, walking, and operating snowmobiles on uneven, slippery surfaces with varying degrees of slope. You'll need to stay alert and attentive to ensure safety and efficiency. The role requires the ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks like grasping, twisting, pushing, and climbing.
