Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and presenting quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards. This role requires someone who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of meals during service hours.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Monitor food stock and place orders when necessary
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Adjust cooking techniques based on specific requests and dietary requirements.
  • Monitor and manage kitchen equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Follow portion control standards and minimize food waste.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Cook or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.85-$20.00 per hour
