Our client, a dynamic mid-sized public accounting firm based in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking a
Senior/Intermediate Accountant

About The Role
As a Senior/Intermediate Accountant, you will take ownership of your work while contributing to the success of the team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing financial statements and corporate tax returns from source documents
  • Preparing personal tax returns
  • Preparing and reviewing T4s, T5s, and other tax forms
  • Conducting review and audit engagements (minimal audits annually)
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through professional service and proactive communication

Who We're Looking For

  • 2-3 years of public accounting experience, ideally in small to mid-sized firms
  • Confidence in preparing audit, review, and compilation engagements
  • Hands-on experience with financial statements and corporate income tax returns
  • Familiarity with software such as CaseWare, Taxprep, CCH iFirm, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience preparing personal tax returns
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Additional Details

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday (overtime may be expected during personal tax season)
  • 8-hour workday with flexibility and hybrid possibilities following probation
  • In-person work location in Calgary, Alberta
