Sweets from the Earth is a family run, vegan commercial bakery manufacturing a wide range of products for retailers and foodservice operations across Canada. We are currently operating out of our third production facility in North Toronto that has excellent TTC access and have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our organization as a Packaging Machine Operators

About the Role

Several Open Positions: Days, Afternoon

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Fully operate Packaging Machines from start up to shut down in a safe and productive manner

· Trouble shoot and or report any issues with the machine during productions

· Follow all company rules and operating procedures as outlined in the company guides

· Ensure lines are efficiently running for the entire shift at full capacity

· Provide samples of product to research team as required

· Record keep all line productivity and downtime

· Ensure the cleanliness of the lines at all times

· Work with order pickers to ensure product is moved from the line to the shipping area

· Follow all regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year experience with packaging machines

  • Experience with Horizontal flow wrappers a big asset

  • Must have good written and verbal communication

  • Be able work in a fast pace environment

  • Team player

  • Able to work overtime as required

Working Conditions:

  • Position is very physical

  • Position involves standing all day

  • Position requires maintain a clean environment at all times
