Health Care Aide (Respite Care – Dementia Support)

Bridlewood, Southwest Calgary, AB

11:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 7 days a week

About Us:

Tova Home Care is a compassionate, locally owned home care agency dedicated to providing personalized care that helps clients live safely, comfortably, and with dignity in their own homes. We're currently seeking a reliable and caring Health Care Aide to provide respite and dementia care for one of our valued clients in Bridlewood (SW Calgary).

Position Details:

  • Schedule: 11:00 AM – 4:00 or 5:00 PM, 7 days per week
  • Location: Client's home in Bridlewood, Southwest Calgary
  • Type: Ongoing respite care

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene)
  • Offer companionship and emotional support
  • Engage client in gentle activities and conversation
  • Support with meals, light housekeeping, and safety supervision
  • Monitor and report changes in client's condition
  • Provide caregiver relief while maintaining a calm, positive environment

Qualifications:

  • Certified Health Care Aide (HCA) or equivalent experience
  • Experience with dementia care is strongly preferred
  • Compassionate, patient, and dependable
  • Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation
  • Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
