Summary

The Retail Porter plays a key support role within the retail and tasting room team at Two Sisters Vineyards. Focused on maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficient service flow, the Retail Porter ensures all guest areas are polished, welcoming, and prepared for a premium wine experience. This role supports the wine consultant team by assisting with tastings, packaging, bussing, and boutique operations while upholding the highest standards of guest service and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all guests with warmth and professionalism to create an inviting atmosphere
• Polish glassware and maintain a clean, organized tasting room and boutique environment
• Support the setup and breakdown of tastings, tours, and winery experiences
• Perform bussing duties, including table setup, clearing, and resetting throughout the day
• Assist in packaging guest orders efficiently and accurately
• Provide boutique support by answering questions and assisting with purchases as needed
• Process transactions using POS system, including cash, credit, discounts, and promotions
• Ensure all guest areas, including entryways and service stations, are clean and presentable
• Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth daily operations
• Support the winery's elevated hospitality standards through attention to detail and teamwork

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in hospitality, retail, or restaurant support roles preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-focused mindset
• Smart Serve Certification required (or willingness to obtain prior to start date)
• Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Must be physically able to stand for extended periods, navigate stairs, and lift up to 40 lbs
• Familiarity with POS systems and transaction handling is an asset
• Passion for hospitality and interest in wine culture is strongly preferred

This role is eligible for commission incentives and gratuities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.60 per hour

• Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
