We're looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our client's team as a
Buyer
in
Welland, ON

In this full-time, permanent role, you'll help our client with their Supply Chain needs.

What You'll Do:

  • Sourcing and procuring product
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and develop relationships with new vendors
  • Negotiate purchase terms, pricing, volume discounts, delivery schedules, and payment terms to ensure competitive cost of goods and favourable procurement terms
  • Manage inventory levels to avoid overstock or shortages
  • Evaluate supplier quality and reliability, and work with suppliers to resolve non-conformances or quality issues
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier contracts, price lists, lead times, and supplier contact info

What We're Looking For:

  • Post-secondary education in
    Agriculture, Horticulture, Agribusiness, Supply Chain / Business Administration
    , or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in
    purchasing/procurement or supply chain
  • Excellent
    negotiation, communication, and relationship-building
    skills
  • Proficiency with
    ERP or inventory management systems and MS Excel
  • Strong
    analytical, organizational, and problem-solving
    capabilities
  • Proficiency in construction estimating techniques and tools
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively
  • Experience with various construction management software platforms

Compensation and Benefits:
