OverviewWe're looking for a licensed Physician Assistant (CCPA) to help support our physicians in a busy family medicine clinic. This role is hybrid and there is the option for 50%+ of the role to be done from home.This role offers a blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities, including patient care and administrative support. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to professionalism and adhere to the standards of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).Working Hours and Flexibility0.9 FTE - 36 hours per weekAnnual Salary - $95,000 - $100,000An average of 2 in person evening clinics each week (set days) from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.Flexibility for >50% of working hours from home as per operational needsOccasional home visits may be requiredResponsibilitiesSupport physicians in inbox and task management within scope of practiceProcessing letters and hospital discharge summariesRenewing prescriptionsResponding to queries from clinic staff, retirement home staff, and patientsDeliver clinical care to patients including:Taking patient histories and performing physical examinationsOrdering diagnostic tests and imagingConsulting with physicians and other practitionersMaintaining complete and accurate patient recordsAdministering injectionsAdvising on health promotion and disease preventionPrescribing medicationsCoordinating care with interdisciplinary teamsArranging follow-up care or referralsPerforming minor procedures (cryotherapy, intra-uterine device insertion/removal) within professional competence and licensingFor non-OHIP covered services, ensure patients are informed of fees before services begin, and coordinate payment collection with administrative staffQualificationsLicensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in Ontario (CCPA)Registered with CPSOJob Type: Full-timePay: $105,555.55-$111,111.11 per yearBenefits:Extended health careFlexible scheduleOn-site parkingPaid time offWork Location: Hybrid remote in Ottawa, ON K1G 5H6
