Duties

  • Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts based on detailed business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Execute functional, system, regression, performance, load, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for web and mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms.
  • Automate test cases using industry-leading tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, and scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, C#, and Bash (Unix shell).
  • Conduct API testing for RESTful web services utilizing tools like Postman or SoapUI; validate API responses with SQL queries on MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or MongoDB databases.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify defects' origins and collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
  • Integrate testing workflows into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps (TFS), and Maven to enable continuous integration and delivery.
  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions and provide insights for process improvements aligned with Agile or Waterfall SDLC methodologies.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs before release.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, defect reports in HP ALM or Jira, and test execution results to support release management activities.
  • Monitor system performance using LoadRunner or similar tools to ensure applications meet performance benchmarks under various load conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, DevOps engineers, and system administrators to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging testing tools and methodologies such as A/B testing, DevOps practices, and cloud-based testing environments like AWS or Azure.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quality Analyst or QA Lead in a fast-paced software development environment.
  • Strong proficiency with test automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver combined with TestNG or JUnit.
  • Extensive knowledge of mobile testing on Android and iOS platforms using tools like Appium or similar frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of RESTful APIs and experience performing API validation using Postman or SoapUI; familiarity with JSON and XML data formats is essential.
  • Solid scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, C#, Bash (Unix shell), or similar languages for automation purposes.
  • Experience working within Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall SDLC models; familiarity with requirements gathering processes.
  • Expertise in database querying using SQL (MySQL, PL/SQL), JDBC connections, or NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, SVN; experience integrating tools within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools like LoadRunner; ability to analyze system bottlenecks through data analysis skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for documenting test procedures clearly and collaborating across teams seamlessly.
  • Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level or Certified ScrumMaster are a plus but not mandatory.
