Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of carpentry techniques and practices, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards.

Duties

  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings to determine project specifications.
  • Perform drywall installation and finishing tasks.
  • Execute flooring installation with precision.
  • Engage in masonry work as needed for various projects.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various carpentry tasks.
  • Conduct concrete forming for foundations or other structures.
  • Estimate materials required for construction projects accurately.
  • Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and safe at all times.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to carpentry work.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job.
  • Knowledge of construction estimating techniques is preferred.
  • Familiarity with caulking methods is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
  • Commitment to maintaining safety standards on the job site.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
