Gray Electric & Plumbing is looking for a motivated and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. About the Role

You'll be responsible for a range of electrical work across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. From maintenance and troubleshooting to installations and system upgrades, this is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on solving problems and getting the job done right.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints
  • Perform general electrical maintenance and inspections
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues using the appropriate testing devices
  • Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components
  • Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes

Qualifications & Experience

  • Journeyman Electrician certification (required)
  • Minimum 4 years of electrical experience
  • Well Rounded Experience in ALL areas of the trade
  • Solid understanding of power tools, hand tools, and electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and blueprints
  • Strong Communication and interpersonal Skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently or as part of a team

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Industrial electrical experience
  • Experience building or assembling electrical components
  • Strong blueprint reading skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • $3,000 Signing bonus

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday (8-hour shifts)
  • On-call rotation

Relocation:

Applicants must be able to reliably commute to or plan to relocate to Grande Prairie, AB before starting work.
