Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dispatcher to coordinate transportation and logistics operations within our supply chain. The ideal candidate will manage freight movements, communicate effectively with drivers and clients, and utilize various transportation management systems to ensure timely deliveries. This role is vital in maintaining efficient shipping and receiving processes, supporting our commitment to excellent service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as SyteLine and AS400.
  • Communicate with drivers, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear and professional phone etiquette.
  • Manage shipping & receiving documentation, including data entry and tracking of shipments.
  • Monitor supply chain activities related to freight movement, ensuring compliance with schedules and company policies.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Oversee third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure service quality and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions through data entry systems.
  • Assist in problem-solving related to freight discrepancies or delays through effective communication skills.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with Transportation Management Systems such as SyteLine or AS400.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain operations, freight management, and shipping & receiving procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally.
  • Proficiency in data entry, typing, and analysis skills for managing logistics data accurately.
  • Knowledge of 3PL operations and freight industry standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, prioritize tasks, and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and scheduling.
  • Previous experience in transportation management or dispatching roles is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 60 per week
