Job Summary

As a BI Engineer at Compass Digital, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the company's business intelligence solutions and data infrastructure. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders from various teams to lead requirements gathering, build data pipelines, and create reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making within the organization. The ideal candidate is able to independently take the lead on data projects while maintaining strong communication with all parties.

Now, if you were to come on board as one of our BI Engineer, we'd ask you to do the following for us:

· Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using BI tools like Power BI and Looker

· SQL (dbt) transformation work to create data models

· Lead meetings and requirements gathering efforts with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.

· Collaborate with technical data team members from business intelligence, data engineering and data science teams

· Document report specifications and user guidelines.

· Provide training and support to end-users for self-service reporting.

· Take ownership of BI projects from inception to delivery, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely completion

· Able to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks

· Expertise in PowerBI development with administration experience as a bonus (or other comparable enterprise BI tools)

· Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation, bonus for dbt experience

· Excellent grasp of data modeling best practices and optimization

· Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
