Role Responsibilities

Reporting to the Executive Director of Corporate Planning and Governance (CPG) in the Strategy and Integrated Services Division, you'll be the go-to person for managing priority issues and ensuring smooth communication across the branch and beyond. Your work will help keep leadership informed, processes efficient, and responses timely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Issues Management: Monitor, analyze, and prioritize emerging issues; provide timely recommendations and briefings to leadership.
  • Communication & Coordination: Act as the primary liaison for the branch, ensuring smooth information flow and consistent messaging across teams and stakeholders.
  • Operational Planning: Support branch goals through operational planning, performance tracking, and quarterly reporting.
  • Information Management: Develop and maintain efficient processes for inquiries, responses, and strategic communications.
  • Representation & Collaboration: Attend meetings, represent the branch on committees, and foster integration across program areas.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all messaging and documentation are clear, professional, and aligned with departmental objectives.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • University graduation with a focus on Business, Public Administration, Social Sciences.
  • Minimum Two (2) years of related experience in program coordination, implementation, or project management.

Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:

  • 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 
  • 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

Assets:

  • Knowledge of change management principles and organizational development.
  • Experience developing and applying strategic and operational plans using project management best practices.
  • Comprehensive understanding of government processes, including ministerial correspondence and internal policies.
  • Familiarity with performance measurement methodologies and issues management principles.
  • Political acumen and awareness of stakeholder perspectives in a complex environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools for tracking performance metrics.

This position work Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM-4:30 PM, 36.25 hours a week.
