Overview

We are seeking a safety-conscious forklift operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts, cherry pickers, and warehouse equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to perform some heavy lifting as needed (up to 60lbs)

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts, Cherry Picker, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform order picking tasks using order pickers to fulfill customer orders.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damages
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse layout for optimal efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Forklift Operator, MHE-Order Picker/Cherry Picker, or in a similar role within warehouse distribution.
  • Proficiency in basic math skills for inventory management and order accuracy.
  • Familiarity with order picking processes and warehouse management systems is preferred.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 60 pounds) as required by job duties.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid forklift certification is preferred; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
