The impact you'll make:
Reporting into the Director, People & Total Rewards, the Payroll & HRIS Coordinator plays a vital role in sustaining and enhancing Saje's culture through day-to-day operations. This is a 12-month fixed term contract covering a maternity leave.
This role is responsible for managing HR/payroll procedures throughout the onboarding, rehire, and offboarding processes, maintaining accurate employee data in our payroll system (Dayforce), and processing timely and precise payroll payments. In addition, this role responds promptly and confidentially to employee inquiries, organizes payroll-related communications, and supports the People team by maintaining organized employee files and documentation.
Through collaboration with cross-functional teams and a commitment to continuous improvement, the Payroll & HRIS Coordinator helps foster a culture of accountability, trust, and inclusion across the organization.
All Saje Team Members are responsible for contributing to Saje's culture and maintaining a positive environment for themselves and their peers.
What you'll do:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including collecting and verifying timesheets, calculating wages, and ensuring accurate deductions and withholdings.
- Review, verify, and correctly file all new hire and rehire documentation.
- Review, save, and process confidential forms submitted by People Leaders and Team Members, including direct deposit, name and marital status changes, address updates, and tax forms.
- Ensure all employment changes including compensation adjustments, position changes, transfers, minimum wage adjustments, and offboarding are accurately documented and updated in our internal HR system, Dayforce.
- Ensure all employee data, HR documentation templates and standard operating templates remain up to date.
- Adjust Dayforce profiles as needed, such as adding work assignments for Team Members working at different store locations.
- Manage POS account access and Shopify discounts for all active and departing employees.
- Complete weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and audits ensuring the accuracy of payroll processes.
- Uphold the integrity of confidential HR and payroll information, addressing and resolving issues through investigation, and offering clear explanations to employees needing assistance.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering accountability and building trust within the organization.
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline and improve processes related to payroll, HRIS, and employee file management.
- Demonstrates flexibility by taking on new projects and assignments as required.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate cross functionally.
- Previous experience in payroll processing and HRIS administration.
- Proficient in using HRIS systems, preferably with experience in Dayforce Ceridian.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel skills.

The compensation range on average for this position is from $58, ,000 annually. Base pay is dependent on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
