Technical Launch Manager

Delta British Columbia VM K Canada Carbonet Nanotechnologies Inc. Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

Owns the end-to-end launch of new production technologies — from installation and troubleshooting to scaling and continuous improvement across facilities.

Location: Pilot NanoNet Factory (On-Site)
Department: Engineering / Operations
Reports To: Director of Engineering or Plant Manager

About the Role

We're looking for a Technical Launch Manager to lead the hands-on deployment and continuous improvement of new production systems within our pilot NanoNet factory. This role sits within the engineering team, but your work happens on the floor, not behind a desk. You'll commission equipment, troubleshoot live systems, collaborate with engineers, and help develop processes that will eventually scale to future facilities.

This isn't a travel-heavy role — your impact is local, direct, and critical to shaping how our technology is built and operated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the hands-on launch and integration of new production systems at the pilot facility
  • Partner with engineers to test, debug, and iterate on first-of-kind equipment and processes
  • Own deployment timelines, site readiness, and coordination of internal resources
  • Create SOPs and documentation to support standardization and future scaling
  • Drive on-the-ground improvements — both to equipment and facility workflows
  • Be the point person for equipment reliability, working alongside maintenance and operations
  • Champion real-time problem solving and field execution — where the work is happening

Who You Are

  • A technically minded builder who's comfortable getting dirty
  • An engineer who prefers the floor to the office
  • A strong communicator who can coordinate across technical and operational teams
  • Resourceful, fast-moving, and comfortable owning projects end-to-end
  • Excited to help define how production systems are implemented

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 5+ years in a hands-on technical role (e.g., commissioning, maintenance, or operations engineering)
  • Experience working closely with production equipment and frontline engineering teams
  • Strong mechanical or electromechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience managing timelines, task lists, and cross-functional execution

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to startup environments or pilot-scale manufacturing
  • Familiarity with control systems, process instrumentation, or automation
  • CAD skills or experience with small equipment layout
