High Output Sports Canada is a sporting goods distribution center providing premium products and reliable service to customers across Canada. We're looking for a hands-on Warehouse & Shipping Manager to oversee our day-to-day warehouse operations and keep our logistics running smoothly.
The Role
As the Warehouse & Shipping Manager, you'll oversee and complete aspects of shipping, receiving, logistics, and inventory control. You'll work directly with freight companies to negotiate rates and ensure shipments are delivered on time and cost-effectively. The ideal candidate has warehouse management experience and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a small team of 1–3 warehouse staff
- Oversee receiving of all incoming inventory and ensure accurate entry into the system
- Handle shipping out orders and general warehouse tasks as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Organize and supervise outgoing shipments for speed, accuracy, and cost-efficiency
- Coordinate and negotiate with freight carriers (LTL, LCL, container) to secure best rates and timelines
- Oversee import shipments and apply landed costs, entering bills for PCB, CBSA, and freight vendors
- Monitor the Carm Portal to ensure accounting stays up to date with payments
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment
- Monitor inventory levels, troubleshoot discrepancies, and report to management
- Work closely with the purchasing and operations teams to streamline processes
Qualifications
- Experience in Warehouse, Logistics, or Shipping/Receiving roles (management experience preferred)
- Knowledge of freight coordination and carrier negotiations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proven leadership ability and attention to detail
- Proficient with basic computer skills and inventory software, including Outlook, Excel.
- Comfortable performing hands-on warehouse tasks, including lifting and moving boxes
- Forklift experience (sit-down and stand-up) preferred
