Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Bakery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in baking and food preparation, with a focus on delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service. As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that all products are prepared, decorated, and presented to the highest standards.

Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of baked goods, including cinnamon rolls , pastries, and cakes.
  • Support decorating efforts by applying icing, and other decorative elements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety standards.
  • Engage with customers to provide excellent service and assist with their orders.
  • Package baked goods for display and sale while ensuring freshness and quality.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.
  • Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in product quality.
  • Adhere to all food handling guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a bakery or restaurant setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
  • Familiarity with baking processes and techniques is highly desirable.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience in food preparation and cooking is beneficial.
  • A passion for baking and creativity in cake decorating is a plus.
