We are currently hiring an Automotive Service Technician or a 3rd year Apprentice for our Simcoe

Location (Robinson Chevrolet Buick GMC).

Automotive Technician License is required, as is a minimum of 2-year automotive experience is

preferred.

Responsibilities:

 Diagnose and repair automotive vehicles

 Perform routine vehicle tune-ups and maintenance

 Provide labor and time estimates for automotive repairs

 Inspect and test new vehicles for necessary adjustments

 Be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment

 Ensure the vehicles are kept clean

 Partner with team members to drive efficiency and resolve complex issues

 Work with a collaborative attitude and team spirit in an ever-changing, dynamic environment

 Follow all GM specified Repair Guidelines to the accepted quality levels

 Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools

 Perform equipment inspections

 Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) of new cars

 Perform detailed daily record keeping and reporting, including records of time, expenses and

materials

 Clean and detail vehicles, as needed

Qualifications:

 Automotive Service Technician License (310S)

 2 years provable experience as an automotive technician, mechanic is preferred.

 Knowledge and experience in MTO set rules and regulations for Ontario Safety Standards

Certificate

 Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment

 Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

 Deadline and detail-oriented

 A clean driving record

 Be able to drive manual transmission vehicles

 Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and processes, and adapt to change

 Ability to innovate, solve complex issues, and present new ideas

 Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail

 Proven ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines

 Experience working in a team-based environment and achieving common goals

 Evidence of a "safety first" attitude

 Basic command of the English language

 Basic computer skills, including navigating web browsers and using standard applications like

Excel and Word

 Valid driver's license with a clean driving history

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$36.00 per hour - Bonus structure
