We are currently hiring an Automotive Service Technician or a 3rd year Apprentice for our Simcoe
Location (Robinson Chevrolet Buick GMC).
Automotive Technician License is required, as is a minimum of 2-year automotive experience is
preferred.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair automotive vehicles
Perform routine vehicle tune-ups and maintenance
Provide labor and time estimates for automotive repairs
Inspect and test new vehicles for necessary adjustments
Be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
Ensure the vehicles are kept clean
Partner with team members to drive efficiency and resolve complex issues
Work with a collaborative attitude and team spirit in an ever-changing, dynamic environment
Follow all GM specified Repair Guidelines to the accepted quality levels
Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools
Perform equipment inspections
Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) of new cars
Perform detailed daily record keeping and reporting, including records of time, expenses and
materials
Clean and detail vehicles, as needed
Qualifications:
Automotive Service Technician License (310S)
2 years provable experience as an automotive technician, mechanic is preferred.
Knowledge and experience in MTO set rules and regulations for Ontario Safety Standards
Certificate
Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
A clean driving record
Be able to drive manual transmission vehicles
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and processes, and adapt to change
Ability to innovate, solve complex issues, and present new ideas
Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail
Proven ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
Experience working in a team-based environment and achieving common goals
Evidence of a "safety first" attitude
Basic command of the English language
Basic computer skills, including navigating web browsers and using standard applications like
Excel and Word
Valid driver's license with a clean driving history
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$36.00 per hour - Bonus structure
