Awake Residential Night Worker

Job Types: Full-Time, Part-Time, Casual

Shift: Overnight Awake – 12 hours

Wage: $294 per shift — $21.00/hour (8 regular + 4 overtime)

Wiidookodaadiwin Services provides live-in care for children and youth across British Columbia. We offer support that is compassionate, culturally informed, and rooted in relationships. Our team works closely with families, communities, and partners to help children and youth reconnect with their identities, cultures, and strengths.

What You'll Do

  • Keep residents safe and supported throughout the night
  • Respond to medical, emotional, or behavioural needs as they come up
  • Follow direction from daytime staff regarding each resident's care
  • Report concerns or emergencies and follow established policies
  • Help residents with their evening and morning routines
  • Ensure house rules and curfew expectations are being followed
  • Administer medications according to agency procedures
  • Complete all required documentation (logbooks, charts, incident reports, etc.)
  • Do light housekeeping, keep the home safe and tidy, and help with simple breakfast prep

What You Bring

  • A relevant two-year diploma — or a mix of education and experience
  • Experience supporting children and youth with behavioural or attachment needs, using a trauma-informed approach
  • Training or experience in working with complex needs
  • Strong documentation and computer skills
  • Clear, respectful communication
  • Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver's licence (or equivalent)
  • Clean driving abstract
  • FOODSAFE Level 1
  • Level 1 First Aid with CPR
  • Approved Criminal Record Check through the Centralized Screening HUB
