Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Architectural Manager
to join the Union Station Development Project (USDP) team during the development phase of this high-profile transit infrastructure initiative. This role is ideal for a
Senior Project Coordinator
or
Assistant Project Manager (5-10 years)
with a strong background in
Institutional, Commercial, and Industrial (ICI)
construction.
As the Architectural Manager, you will lead architectural coordination efforts, ensuring seamless integration between design and construction disciplines. You will play a key role in managing subcontractors, supporting estimating and scheduling, and driving quality and constructability outcomes in a collaborative Alliance model environment.

District Overview
Eastern Canada District's projects include highways, bridges, mass transit, mine site development & open pit operations, hydroelectric powerhouses, wind-power plants, dams & industrial. We serve the construction and mining industries and operate in Eastern Canada.
Location
This position is based on our Union Station Project in Toronto.
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural scope coordination across all project phases, with a focus on design-development and constructability.
- Perform quantity take-offs and support estimating by anticipating design requirements and making informed pricing assumptions.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design interfaces (Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical – ASME).
- Manage Divisions 4–14 subcontractors, including scope parsing, contract alignment, and performance oversight.
- Support schedule development by sequencing work, verifying durations, and understanding interdependencies between activities.
- Collaborate with design consultants, construction teams, and commercial subcontractors to resolve issues and optimize outcomes.
- Ensure quality and safety standards are embedded in design and construction planning.
- Translate design intent into field-executable solutions, bridging the gap between drawings and construction realities.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
- 5–10 years of experience in ICI or institutional construction projects (e.g., transit, hospitals, schools, office towers, large retail).
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Autodesk Revit (model navigation), and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of Construction MasterFormat and subcontractor scope division.
- Demonstrated experience in design coordination and construction interface management.
