POSITION SUMMARY:
Design, develop and implement ERP command line programs, scripts, reports, queries, and procedures that improve the operation and accuracy of our systems. Provide in-depth support, written and orally, in the implementation of EPICOR CMS ERP and EDI etc. Perform AS/400 user profile provisioning and de-provisioning as required. Identify programs and procedures that are not functioning properly and either resolve or refer to vendor support. Train users as required on the operation of EPICOR CMS. Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing and/or computation needs of EPICOR CMS.  Analyze these needs into related components, which can be solved through the software. Perform program documentation and working instructions utilizing the latest and most efficient techniques. Analyze and develop database directories and generate and maintain test databases. Generate reports as needed for any audit performed at the plant. Assist EDI Co-ordinator to automotive customers and suppliers. Incumbent is responsible for command line program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Implement, maintain and support ERP and other database applications to ensure data integrity and improve user efficiency. Trouble-shoot problems and processes routinely, and for required updates and enhancements. Plans and evaluates ERP systems and makes recommendations for resources required to maintain and/or expand service levels. Provide skilled technical assistance in system planning, functional operations, and architecture. Interface with vendors to identify software solutions. Perform AS/400 system maintenance functions. Maintain assigned Manage-Engine tickets in a prompt fashion.

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent or completion of a college program in computer science
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience within an automotive industry of supporting ERP systems and supporting EDI to automotive customers
  • Competent command of the IBM AS/400 system commands and operating systems
  • Mininum 3-5 years in programming skills in query, CLP and RPGLE are essential. EDI knowledge is an asset
 
REQUIRED SKILLS: 
  • Possess technical expertise in ERP applications systems analysis and AS/400 application programming
  • Formulate/define system scope and objectives based on user specifications
  • Able to devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results.
  • Able to prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
  • Technical knowledge of all phases of ERP applications systems analysis and programming including EDI.
  • Incumbent requires excellent communication skills; verbal and written
  • Able to train and dcoument users with procedures
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Strong Computer skills; MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Able to deal with internal customers such as deparemtn managers and end users and external contacts such as software vendor and database consultants
    Travel 5%-10% for seminars and internal training.
