Senior Supervisors, Specialists & Financial Analysts

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain financial models in support of the budgeting and forecasting process;

Plan, manage and execute all aspects of the budgeting and forecasting process;

Oversight of accounting functions to manage accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of internal and external transactions;

Complete detailed analysis to support reporting processes for the various stakeholders;

Respond to requests for information from internal and external parties and conduct detailed analysis as required;

Prepare and deliver presentations and financial reports that include both financial and non-financial metrics;

Oversee the completion of financial analysis and transactions;

Supervise and mentor a team;

Collaborate with management on initiatives;

Participate in continuous improvement activities to evolve processes or other parts of the financial accounting and reporting environment;

Complete accounting and finance projects such as internal control, regulatory filings and proceedings, development, documentation and implementation of new financial processes;

Provides direction to and coordinates deliverables of the Financial Reporting Team;

Ensures the impact of the PUB rulings are reflected in the financial statements;

Ensures the external financial statements and notes and PUB financial statements are prepared in compliance with quarterly and annual reporting requirements and timelines;

Review of monthly journal entries and reconciliations;­

Responsible for quarterly and annual audit requests.­

What You'll Need: ­ ­

A University Degree in Commerce or Business Administration and a recognized accounting designation (CPA) or equivalent experience;

The ability to synthesize information for presentation to leadership and other stakeholders;

The ability to identify issues, develop solutions and make recommendations to management;

Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools;

Experience working with ERP systems such as JD Edwards Enterprise One and Business Intelligence software systems;

General knowledge of the electric utility or other capital intensive industry;

Working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or other recognized Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);

3 + years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, budgeting and forecasting or reporting.­
