Job Summary:
As a Referral Clerk at La Vie Executive Health Centre, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support within a medical office setting while monitering and updating the status of patient referrals. Your responsibilities will include referral management, utilizing medical terminology, handling electronic medical records, and ensuring seamless procedures.
Duties:
Manage outgoing referrals and maintain status updates accessible to the medical staff through the EMR.
Utilize medical terminology accurately
Handle electronic medical records with precision
Keep the medical staff updates on the status of the refeeal through EMR documenation
Ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
Assist in maintaining a tidy and organized office environment
Skills:
The ideal candidate for the Medical Clerk position should possess the following skills:
Proficiency in medical terminology
Strong administrative skills
Familiar with the Specialist network with in the Ottawa Area
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
Knowledge of office phone systems
Prior experience in a medical office
