Job Summary

Join the TMX Montréal DevOps team for a unique internship focused on the management and orchestration of our software delivery pipeline.

You will learn firsthand how we plan, coordinate, and manage the release of critical technology that powers Canada's financial markets, gaining a dual perspective on how we ensure both the quality of our releases and the flow of our delivery.
This is your chance to gain invaluable, hands-on experience in two critical "management" aspects of DevOps at a leading financial technology company. If you are passionate about making processes work better and want to see how complex software gets delivered, we want to hear from you. This role reports to DevOps Lead, Release, Government, Practices.

This role is hybrid (2-3 days/week in the office) - based in Montreal, QC.

Key accountabilities:

As a Release & Delivery Management Intern, you will provide critical support to both our Release and Delivery Managers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Release Coordination: Assisting the Release Manager with planning, scheduling, and managing software releases across multiple teams.

  • Delivery Management: Supporting the Delivery Manager by helping to track team progress, identify dependencies, and remove obstacles.

  • Agile Process Management: Participating in and helping to facilitate Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, retrospectives) with a focus on overall delivery flow.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Acting as a key point of contact, tracking progress, and communicating status, risks, and changes to all stakeholders.

  • Process Improvement: Observing our release and delivery frameworks to help identify bottlenecks, dependencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Tracking & Reporting: Helping to track key metrics and preparing status updates for the management team.

Must haves:

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated student who is passionate about process, communication, and efficiency.

  • Currently enrolled in a university or college program, such as Business Administration, Project Management, IT Management, or a related field.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail.

  • A powerful communicator (both written and verbal) who is comfortable liaising with different teams.

  • A problem-solver with a strong interest in Agile, Lean, and/or DevOps methodologies.

  • Curious and eager to learn about the management side of a high-tech environment.
