Role Overview

As Senior Manager, you'll be a key architect of client success and firm growth, combining technical mastery with business insight, people leadership, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare & review personal (T1), trust (T3), and corporate (T2) income tax returns
  • Plan, supervise, and execute assurance and accounting engagements per professional standards and firm policies
  • Conduct detailed reviews of assurance and non-assurance engagement files
  • Mentor, coach, and develop less experienced staff; deliver internal training
  • Identify and champion opportunities for new service offerings to existing clients
  • Model curiosity and continuous improvement across client and internal initiatives
  • Apply industry/business knowledge to anticipate and address client issues
  • Foster an efficient, innovative, and team-focused environment
  • Act as a trusted advisor, leading client relationships and strategic planning
  • Engage in firm-sponsored volunteer work and industry events

Professional & Experience Requirements

  • CPA designation and university degree
  • Minimum 8 years post-certification public accounting experience, including compliation reviews
  • Advanced knowledge of ASPE, ASPE NFO, and owner-manager tax concepts
  • Proven ability to prepare and review complex T2 tax returns
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and successful client retention/growth
  • Proficiency in Taxprep, Caseware, CCH iFirm, Quickbooks, and willingness to learn new platforms
  • Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail; thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client and team liaison
