Overview

We're not your average bar --- and we're not looking for your average manager. Home and Away is a high-energy sports bar meets the late-night party. We need an Assistant General Manager who can keep the team motivated and guests coming back.

Duties

  • Assist the General Manager in managing daily operations and staff performance.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and satisfaction are consistently met.
  • Oversee liquor inventory management, including ordering and stock control.
  • Oversee schedules with a sales and detail-driven mindset.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Analyze sales reports and operational data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a management or supervisory role within the service industry.
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using management software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure and in the moment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
