We are currently seeking a Painter Helper to support our industrial painting department and develop into a fully skilled painter through hands-on training

Our team produces world-class prefabricated electrical enclosures serving industries such as mining, oil and gas, utilities, and heavy industry.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing metal surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and masking under the direction of the lead painter
  • Support mixing and handling of industrial primers, epoxy, and urethane coatings (training provided)
  • Help set up and clean spray guns, pressure pots, and other painting equipment
  • Move materials, parts, and enclosures in and out of the paint booth as required
  • Perform basic quality checks to ensure surfaces are properly prepped before painting
  • Maintain paint shop cleanliness, organization, and safe work practices
  • Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and ventilation procedures
  • Work collaboratively with the fabrication and assembly teams to support project timelines

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a shop, construction, or manufacturing environment is required.
  • Interest in learning industrial painting techniques and coating systems
  • Willingness to work with primers, epoxy coatings, and industrial finishes
  • Strong work ethic with good attention to detail
  • Ability to lift, move, and position materials and components safely
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety focused
  • Forklift experience or certification is an asset (training available on site)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
