Montreal, Quebec, Canada Behaviour Interactive Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

Are you ready to dive into the world of cutting-edge video game development? Headquartered in Montreal, Behaviour Interactive is at the forefront of the gaming industry, crafting unforgettable experiences across PC, console, and mobile platforms. We're a dynamic, independent studio of over 1200 passionate employees, with studios in Toronto (Behaviour Toronto), Rotterdam (Behaviour Rotterdam) and in the UK (Behaviour UK–North & South). Our day to day revolves around two core business focuses: Services and Original Games. Our Services team collaborates with gaming and entertainment giants like Disney, Sony, Activision, and Nintendo, delivering exceptional work-for-hire development and pioneering immersive location-based entertainment (LBE). Meanwhile, our Original Games unit pushes our creative limits, with our signature IPs, including the iconic Dead by Daylight. Join us and be a part of the future of interactive entertainment

At Behaviour Interactive, we believe in giving everyone a fair shot. We embrace a diverse and creative environment where everyone is celebrated. We value folks of all ages, sex, ethnicity, colour, ethnic or national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, civil status, disability, or any other protected characteristics as per applicable law.

Dead by Daylight is looking for an Engagement Product Director to lead a renewed strategic vision for player retention and live engagement systems. This is a pivotal leadership role on one of the top 20 live service games globally, with a deeply dedicated fanbase and a unique asymmetrical multiplayer experience. Your expertise will shape the way millions of players connect with DbD, and you'll have the mandate to bring a new level of clarity and innovation to our engagement strategy.

In this role you will:
  • Own the live player engagement roadmap: Drive the prioritization of engagement features across seasons, events, and content drops.
  • Define the "why" behind the features: Be the strategic voice behind what will bring lapsed players back, deepen loyalty, and increase session frequency.
  • Collaborate across creative and production: Your ability to influence design and creative direction will be crucial.
  • Lead and grow a team: Manage a small team of Live Ops specialists and build a high-performing engagement function.
  • Track KPIs & P&L: Partner with Data Insight and Marketing to forecast, measure, and optimize player engagement.
  • Voice of the player: Leverage data, research, and intuition to ensure our roadmap is always tuned to what the audience needs next.
What we're looking for:
  • 6+ years in Product Management, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success on the player engagement of a PC/Console live game.
  • Demonstrated experience with engagement systems: Battle Passes, seasonal events, progression loops, retention mechanics, etc.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience in owning and driving a live content roadmap and influencing cross-discipline creative teams.
  • Deep understanding of live game KPIs, forecasting, and performance metrics.
Dans ce rôle, vous devrez :
  • Piloter la feuille de route de l'engagement des joueur·euse·s en direct : prioriser les fonctionnalités d'engagement à travers les saisons, les événements et les sorties de contenu;
  • Définir le "pourquoi" derrière chaque fonctionnalité : être la voix stratégique qui identifie ce qui ramènera les joueur·euse·s inactif·ive·s, renforcera leur fidélité et augmentera la fréquence des sessions;
  • Collaborer avec les équipes créatives et de production : votre capacité à influencer la direction artistique et le design sera essentielle;
  • Diriger et faire grandir une équipe : encadrer une petite équipe de spécialistes Live Ops et bâtir une fonction d'engagement performante;
  • Suivre les indicateurs clés (KPIs) et la rentabilité (P&L) : travailler en partenariat avec les équipes Data Insight et Marketing pour prévoir, mesurer et optimiser l'engagement des joueur·euse·s;
  • Succès avéré dans l'engagement des joueur·euse·s sur un jeu live PC/Console;
  • Expérience démontrée avec des systèmes d'engagement : Battle Pass, événements saisonniers, boucles de progression, mécaniques de rétention, etc;
  • Solides compétences analytiques, stratégiques et décisionnelles;
  • Expérience dans la gestion et le pilotage d'une feuille de route de contenu live, ainsi que dans l'influence d'équipes créatives pluridisciplinaires;
