Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Snow Plow Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in snow plowing and maintenance, with additional experience in landscaping and outdoor maintenance. This role is crucial for ensuring safe and accessible roadways during winter months, and the operator will be responsible for the efficient removal of snow and ice from designated areas.

Duties

  • Operate snow plow equipment to clear roads, parking lots, and walkways of snow and ice.
  • Perform routine maintenance on snow plowing equipment, including checks on mechanical systems and power tools.
  • Utilize hand tools and machinery such as excavators for effective snow removal.
  • Conduct landscape maintenance tasks as needed, including mowing, tree trimming, and irrigation system upkeep.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely response to weather conditions and maintain safety standards.
  • Assist in other landscaping duties during off-season periods, including gardening, hardscape installation, and tree care.

Requirements

  • Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in operating snow plows and related equipment.
  • Familiarity with lawn care practices, landscape maintenance techniques, and horticulture principles.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting on equipment.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions while maintaining a high level of safety awareness.
