Context
Our client is a mid-sized Canadian CPG manufacturer entering a pivotal phase of its development. The company is looking for an accomplished Interim Chief Sales Officer to lead its commercial strategy and sales organization.
The selected executive will bring structure, focus, and decisive leadership to strengthen performance, mobilize the team, and accelerate growth.
Mission
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Interim CSO will take full ownership of the company's sales function, covering strategy, structure, and execution, while ensuring close alignment with Operations, Marketing, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the current commercial organization and deploy a clear, results-driven sales plan.
- Lead, align, and motivate the sales team around clear objectives and measurable KPIs.
- Reinforce customer partnerships and expand business opportunities across Canada and the U.S.
- Improve forecasting, pricing discipline, and margin contribution.
- Drive collaboration across functions to ensure commercial consistency and delivery performance.
- Deliver immediate results while building a foundation for sustainable growth.
Profile
- 15+ years of progressive sales leadership (CSO / VP Sales / Commercial Director) within CPG or manufacturing sectors.
- Proven success leading teams and delivering results in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Strong combination of strategic vision and operational rigor.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with key customers and internal teams.
- Bilingual (English/French) is mandatory.
- Pragmatic, decisive, and impact-driven executive who can perform from day one.
