Sarens Canada is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Assistant based out of our Cambridge office. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Branch Manager.

Parts/ Warehouse Assistant duties:

  • Perform tasks requested by the Fleet Procurement Lead
  • Pick up & deliveries of parts/ oil samples
  • Ensure Shop lubricants & consumables are readily restocked, organized, and labeled
  • WHMIS & TGD compliance & SDS binders up to date
  • Receiving all products from vendors as they are delivered, including the verification of the quantity of items received as well as assuring that it is the correct product ordered.
  • Picking, packaging, and shipping (to our various branches/sites) any orders that are to be completed and shipped from the warehouse
  • Ensuring product that requires storage is placed in the appropriate area, including placing any product that is for stock onto the shelves in the proper bin location.
  • Maintaining and cleaning warehouse and neatly assembling products on shelves, including sweeping & waste collection
  • Ongoing organization of On-hand Filter & building of machine service kits as needed
  • Counting of inventory as required
  • Aid as needed to co-workers and customers (internal and external).
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures in relation to both safety and quality
  • Other duties as assigned

General Shop Labour duties:

  • Perform tasks requested by the Fleet Shop supervisor and/or Branch Manager.
  • Assist with daily fleet/operation requirements in and around the facility.
  • Complete weekly/monthly safety compliance checks.
  • Maintaining and cleaning Shop and neatly assembling products on shelves, including sweeping & waste collection
  • Participate in continuous hazard assessments, daily toolbox meetings and complete safety documentation and paperwork as required
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures in relation to both safety and quality
  • Wash bay attendant, complete cleaning of equipment in house
  • Hose building may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Warehouse experience is an asset
  • Must have good positive communication skills and good attendance
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be detailed oriented with strong verbal and computer skills
  • Experience working under minimal supervision
  • Must be able to perform work-related duties outside in a safe and competent manner in adverse conditions (extreme heat/cold, icy/slippery conditions)
