Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. This role is essential in ensuring food safety, cleanliness, and smooth kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and food service, with previous experience in restaurant or hotel settings preferred. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable kitchen experience and develop skills in food preparation and handling.

Duties

  • Assist with food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen staff
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning
  • Help with food handling and storage following safety standards
  • Support cooking activities as needed, including basic food assembly and plating
  • Ensure proper disposal of waste and adherence to sanitation protocols
  • Assist in setting up dining areas and serving stations when required
  • Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
  • Support the team during busy service hours by providing efficient assistance

Skills

  • Experience in food handling, food preparation, or cooking is highly desirable
  • Prior restaurant or hotel experience is a plus, especially in hospitality settings
  • Strong cleaning skills with attention to hygiene standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills and teamwork orientation
  • Basic knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures
  • Flexibility to adapt to different tasks within the kitchen environment
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills
