Position Overview:

Seeking a highly motivated and skilled Corporate Accountant to join a public accounting firm in Oakville, ON on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial records and accounts of corporate clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity for growth and development within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for corporate clients, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

- Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement

- Prepare and file tax returns, including corporate income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax

- Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

- Provide guidance and support to clients on financial matters, including tax strategies and compliance

- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and standards

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of client projects

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise

- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and changes in accounting practices and regulations

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting, preferably with corporate clients

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial analysis

- Proficient in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Caseware, TaxPrep etc
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines

- Strong organizational and time-management skills

- Experience with Caseware and Taxprep software is an asset
