Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher in french to inspire and educate students at various grade levels. The ideal candidate will possess strong subject matter expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and supporting students in achieving their academic goals. The Mathematics Teacher will play a vital role in cultivating critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students, preparing them for future academic and career success.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging, standards-based mathematics lessons tailored to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess student understanding through quizzes, tests, and class participation; provide timely feedback.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans for students requiring additional support or enrichment.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and respect.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and participate in professional development activities.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student performance and areas for improvement.
  • Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
  • Proven experience teaching mathematics at the appropriate grade level is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts, curriculum standards, and instructional strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to student success.
  • Ability to adapt lessons based on student needs and educational best practices.
  • Prior experience with educational technology tools is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 4 per week
