FLiiP is revolutionizing fitness business management through our all-in-one SaaS platform. As a seed-stage startup, we've recently raised 4 million CAD and are scaling rapidly, aiming to grow 2x in revenue within 12 months. We serve gyms, fitness studios, martial arts centers, and other fitness businesses with a powerful suite of software solutions that streamline operations and improve member management.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly structured and technology-fluent Financial Analyst to be the operational foundation of our Finance team. Your central mission is to ensure our core financial and accounting processes (Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Payroll, Payment Processing, General Admin) run with "clockwork precision". This is a hands-on role that requires a strong background in accounting operations combined with a Growth Mindset to proactively leverage technology for process automation. You will provide critical, accurate SaaS KPI insights and support reliable management decision-making in our fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
This role demands a blend of operational excellence, automation initiative, and financial analysis:

- Accounting Execution & Control: Execute journal entries and reconciliations (GL, core accounts). Support Gov. Reporting and tax filings, aiming for on-time submission and compliance.
- SaaS KPI Reporting: Take ownership of preparing and validating the monthly SaaS finance KPI data, demonstrating a robust Business Curiosity by investigating anomalies in revenue, expense, or operational data to ensure report accuracy.
- Administrative Efficiency: Support leadership with essential administrative tasks, including organizing FLiiP events, preparing for key meetings, managing HR onboarding/offboarding processes, and handling general office management initiatives.
- Process Automation & Efficiency: Actively leverage a "techy" skillset and financial software (Xero, ChargeOver, Float, Adyen, etc.) to identify, propose, and successfully implement data automation or process improvement projects that reduce manual effort and increase the speed/accuracy of the monthly close.
To succeed in this unique operational and analytical role, you should possess the following:
- Language & Location: Bilingual fluency in both English and French (written and spoken). Must be based in the Montreal area and adhere to the hybrid schedule (3 days per week in person at our Montreal or Brossard offices).
- Experience & Education: 2+ years of experience in accounting, auditing, or financial analysis. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
- Accounting Operations Experience: Proven track record in core accounting operations (e.g., AP/AR, journal entries) and a solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles (GAAP/ASPE).
- Technical & Functional Mastery: Advanced skill in spreadsheet modeling (Excel) and manipulating datasets. Proven ability to quickly master and operate multiple software platforms (e.g., Xero, BambooHR, ChargeOver, EmployeurD, Adyen).
- Structured Execution & Accuracy: Highly structured in task management, delivery, and reporting. Highly detail-oriented and accurate with both words and numbers.
- Behavioral Competencies: Possesses a strong "Get It Done" Attitude, high motivation, and is a Hands-On Problem Solver who enjoys being deeply involved in the data and systems.
