Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including but not limited to tractor-trailer, flatbed, and refrigerated trailer operations. This role requires a commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering freight to our customers. The Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting goods over long distances, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Responsibilities

  • Operate trucks with manual transmission, ensuring safe and efficient driving practices.
  • Transport goods using refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized vehicles.
  • Load and unload freight as required, utilizing forklifts or other equipment when necessary.
  • Follow designated routes for delivery while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo details.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road.
  • Ensure proper handling of freight to prevent damage during transport.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driver experience.
  • Familiarity with operating various types of trucks including dump trucks and roll-off trucks is preferred.
  • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations related to freight transport and vehicle operation.
  • Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate delivery logs and records.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
