Responsibilities

  • Support leaders across multiple functions including workforce planning, recruitment, talent assessment, career coaching, individual development plan enhancement, employee relations and loss prevention investigations, and other projects as needed. Supporting the daily field operations department to ensure smooth and timely multi-level support takes place while maintaining customer service satisfaction.  

  • Work in partnership with business units to provide expertise in areas such as; candidate interviewing and selection, employee transition planning, staff planning, employee relations, terminations, and other employee and business-related actions as required.

  • Coordinate and execute HR administrative activities as necessary.

  • Deliver key HR strategies and programs for assigned client groups (e.g. performance management via Talent Link, annual HR planning, succession planning, recognition and rewards.)

  • Partner with Centers of Excellence in areas of Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits and Talent Management on best practices and serve as initial point of contact to answer questions from employees & leaders.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors 4 year degree (CPHR is an asset)

  • Experience: 3-5 years in one or more functional areas of Human Resources (Generalist preferred)

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office systems (Excel, Power Point, Word, MS Teams), and  Workday HRIS.

  • Strong facilitation skills, project management skills, and negotiation skills.

  • Easily adapts to changing business landscape, and can work effectively in a virtual, remote, and hybrid  environment.

  • Strong communication, project management, conflict resolution, coaching, and consultative skills.

  • Must display a high level of Emotional Intelligence and strict confidentiality at all times.

  • Ability to influence others, think strategically, and initiate improvements.

  • Thorough understanding of HR policies, practices and procedures, as well as the legal framework of provinces to be covered including all provincial and federal laws as applicable.

  • Willing to travel across geographic areas of responsibility, as well as possible travel to the Vancouver area store support center when and if required and as approved.

Preference will be given to applicants who currently reside in the region and are able to commute to local sites as required.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $95,000 CAD annually. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skillset, and alignment with internal pay structures.
