Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and experience in industrial settings. This role involves working with various electrical components, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all systems are functioning efficiently. The Industrial Electrician will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our operational capabilities.

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in an industrial environment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand system layouts.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform electrical installations and repairs.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues, including low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Collaborate with other trades during preventive maintenance, repair and renovation projects to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential problems before they escalate.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and installations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician or similar role in an industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage applications.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Background in construction or renovation projects is advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
