Overview

Eco Carbon Foam has an immediate opening for a Truck Driver at our manufacturing plant. Track Driver performs the following tasks:

  • Load and unload the trucks with products

  • Pick up orders, gather and package components

  • Delivery products to customers

  • Maintain an organize and clean working area

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials all over Canada and the US

  • Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods

  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, brakes and cold storage

  • Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods

  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes

  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

  • Administer bills of lading and manually or electronically maintain log books

  • Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices and on-board computers

  • May perform emergency roadside repairs

  • May drive as part of a two-person team or convoy

  • Preserve a safe work environment when transporting products

  • Prepare products by orders

  • Other duties as required

  • All employees are expected to have a willingness to share in the responsibilities and duties of others when necessary to "get the job done"

Requirements

  • Valid AZ License – With a clean driving record

  • Must be eligible to drive into the USA

  • Minimum 2 years of AZ (USA & Canada) driving experience

  • Flexibility – Ability to adapt to changing schedules and routes

  • Can lift a reasonable amount of weight

  • Strong knowledge of the surrounding area

  • Strong communication skills

  • Experience in maneuvering a truck and trailer in tight spaces

  • Has forklift training, can be provided on site

  • WHMIS certificate, can be provided on site
