Are you passionate about making an impact in your community? Do you have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills? We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Fundraising Assistant to support our Development Team.

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain consistent, professional communication and build strong relationships with individual donors, community supporters, and partners

· Planning, coordination and execution of fundraising events, campaigns and initiatives

· Develop compelling fundraising and promotional materials, including content for social media, donor newsletters, brochures, and campaign appeals.

· Actively assist in expanding and developing new corporate, community, and third-party fundraising partnerships

· Research potential grant opportunities and assist in the preliminary stages of grant proposal preparation

· Actively participate in committees and attend key organizational events throughout the year

Role Requirements

· Graduate of a post-secondary program in event management/hospitality/fund development, an asset

· 1-2 years of fundraising support experience, preferably in a non-profit environment

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with a donor database.

· Experience in social media and website management is an asset

· Exceptional organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

· Police Vulnerable Sector Check (required before start)
