Tutor Doctor Burlington is hiring caring and reliable Reading and Math Tutors to work one-to-one with students from Kindergarten to Grade 8, either in-home or online. We provide the clients, you focus on doing what you love - helping students learn and grow.

This is a flexible, part-time contract role, ideal for college/university students, teacher candidates, recent grads, or experienced tutors looking to make a difference while building professional skills.

What You'll Do

  • Provide personalized academic support in reading, writing, or math based on student needs and school curriculum.
  • Build strong relationships with students and families while maintaining professionalism and punctuality.
  • Track session progress and communicate clearly.

What You Bring

  • Completion of secondary school (minimum requirement).
  • Strong subject knowledge in English and/or Math.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.
  • Basic comfort using MS Office and online tools.
  • Must be able to pass a Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening before starting.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to students' homes within Burlington.

Nice to have:

  • Teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience.
  • Enrolled in or completed a teaching program (e.g., OCT or education degree).
  • Experience supporting students with different learning needs.
