Fuel and Convenience Centre Associate

Peninsula Co-op is inviting applications for the position of Fuel and Convenience Centre Associate (we like to call you a Customer Service Representative). We have a full-time permanent role offering hours per week opportunity available at our North Duncan Fuel and Convenience Centre, located at1007 Canada Avenue, Duncan BC, V9L 1V2. Our ideal candidate has a flexible availability to cover a variety of shifts throughout the week, weekends inclusive (shifts may vary from week to week), fully open availability is required for this role.

• Always looks for ways to be helpful and go out of their way to assist others; consistently polite.
• Loves the great outdoors. Rain, wind, snow and blazing hot sun mean nothing.
• Process till transactions, accurate and efficient; including cash, credit and debit transactions and gift card activations.
• Uses their product knowledge to assist customers and answer questions.
• Looks out for their safety and the safety of others.
• Values integrity and honesty; someone to admire and emulate.
• Able to be on their feet nearly all of their shift & consistently handling product (1 to 40 pounds).
• Knows their way around under the hood of a car is also helpful, but not essential - we train for this.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Besides working with the best group of team mates and serving fantastic customers, you will be dispensing fuel and propane, washing windows, checking vehicle fluid levels, cleaning, and stocking the convenience store, and generally ensuring our customers are taken care of and the location is clean and safe.
